Kundalini Yoga of Awareness

Kundalini Yoga is not about self-improvement. It is about self-acceptance, to reconnect with how wonderful and perfect we are. Remembering who we truly are.

The GOAL of Yoga?

(No, it’s not the handstand)

The yoga pose is not the goal.
Becoming flexible is not the goal.
Standing on your hands is not the goal.

The goal is to create space where you were once stuck.
To unveil the layers of protection you’ve built around your heart.
To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates.
To make peace with who you are.
The goal is to love, well …YOU.
Come to your yoga mat to FEEL.
Shift your focus and your heart will grow.

Why I decided to learn this Yoga to share with you

Often referred to by teachers as the YOGA OF AWARENESS, the practice is something that must be experienced so we can draw own conclusions about its benefits.

“A path of experience and awareness.”  Yogi Bhajan PHD.
Our lives present contrasting experiences, good and not so good.  It happens to us all.

When the not so good occurs and we know we need to make changes because our inner wisdom kicks in and tells us so, it can be a fearful place to be.  Many choose to ignore the message of their inner wisdom because of fears that can lead to sickness in many forms.

In 2016 I found myself in such a place in my life – needing to make changes.

Being a passionate life and wellness coach / trainer for others I already had lots of knowledge, tips and techniques to draw upon. I knew I needed more inner resources to help me navigate the way through my fears about the changes I was creating. My health from a physical, mental and emotional point of view would be something that I would need to provide focus on, to set me up for success as I worked through my changes.

Kundalini Yoga found a way into my life

Whilst I was working with a client who had never done yoga before and would not go to class alone for the first time,
I accompanied her to this ‘new to me style of yoga’. It was the start of an interesting journey learning the practice and
where the effects on the mind, body and spirit seemed undeniable.

I invested & committed to Kundalini Yoga teacher training.

Science and technology underpin the practice, but I did not know this initially, only that the effects I experienced and witnessed in others seemed undeniable.

My passions, interest, the work I love to do simply kept guiding me to learn more and more as I was so sure it not only
was useful for me, it would be useful for many clients that I had worked with and would work with in the future.

With six years of teaching experience, I understand a lot about the science and the technology behind how kundalini
yoga works with us and for us and our natural energy.

What happens in a Class or Session?

When we engage in kundalini yoga exercises an incredible amount of work happens in our nervous, endocrine, circulatory and muscular systems.  Deep relaxation at the end of a class is important to integrate the healing benefits into the systems of our bodies.

A class includes:

  • Yoga postures
  • Mudras and Mantras to focus energy and mental focus
  • The benefits experienced through conscious Breathing
  • Relaxation and meditation

Kundalini yoga is a beautiful practice and provides many benefits for working with mind, body and spirit and enhancing our health and wellness, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There is nothing more powerful to awaken your consciousness, and to confront your fears.

I cannot wait to share this with you and the wider community. Please contact me for further information about:

  • Classes becoming available in regions
  • Private small group
  • One to one introductory class / sessions
  • Longer class commitment working with specific issues
